Review:

The Little Book by Selden Edwards (Dutton, due Aug14), his first novel, is a time travel conceit that takes a contemporary rock star to the Vienna of 1897, where he becomes a patient of Freud, inspires Wittgenstein, and befriends a time-traveling earlier version of his own father, who had died young at the hands of the NazisHe also pre-invents the Frisbee, a wooden prototype of which he gives to the grieving Austrian queenThe Little Book is another story within a story that offers great characters and richly describes a unique time and place in European history.
